Top 5 Favorite Indie Polishes

Good morning ladies! Last week a fellow blogger came up with the idea of a Top 5 Favorite Indie Polish link up, and another 29 of us immediately jumped on board. I’m not sure where my mind was at the time as I thought ‘I know my top 5 favorite brands, what a neat idea!’ Within about 15 minutes I started realizing that it’s Top 5 Favorite POLISHES, not brands. I sat and stared at my 1000+ bottle indie collection wondering how on earth I could narrow it down. This would be no small task.

So I started by looking at my favorite brands, and which polishes within those brands that are particular favorites. That narrowed it down a little but not near enough, and it left out too many brands where I may only have a couple. Then I decided to look at how often I have worn a polish. With such a large collection it’s something if I really get to wear a polish once, much less twice. So that was how I decided to choose my current top 5. This comes with a few stipulations of course… this list is subject to change, often and with no notice. Emphasis on “Often”. Listed in no particular order. No really, that’s entirely too much pressure! 🙂

Here we go…

Colors by Llarowe ~ Paper Moon
Paper Moon is a purple/blurple linear holo and has the awesomely smooth buttery formula we know and love about CbL.
This is not a currently available polish, but should be easy enough to find on Storenvy or a destash. Check out the current CbL polishes though, you really can’t go wrong with this top indie brand. ~ http://www.llarowe.com

Black Cat Lacquer ~ Leo
Leo is a super squishy vibrant orange jelly with loaded of orange and holographic glitters. I currently only own about 8-10 BCL’s so while I can’t rank the whole brand in top 5 quite yet, this polish easily made the top 5 polishes list.
This polish is currently available from Black Cat Lacquer ~ http://blackcatlacquer.bigcartel.com

Alchemy Lacquer’s ~ Gilded Rose Hips
Gilded Rose Hips is a shimmery soft pink with a nice dose of various pink colored glitters. The Gilded polishes by Alchemy Lacquer’s are so unique. This was my first gilded purchase, and many have followed. But this one is pink! And after all, pink makes everything better. 🙂

This polish is not currently available, and might be a little hard to find, but Alchemy Lacquer’s has plenty of other beauties, and even pink beauties.  ~ https://www.etsy.com/shop/AlchemyLacquers

Digital Nails ~ The Dude Abides
The Dude Abides is a nude crelly base loaded with multichromatic flakies. This was one of the first crelly flakie polishes I saw, and it having the nude base was huge for me! I absolutely love nude and neutral polishes, especially ones with just a little fun thrown in, and The Dude Abides fits that bill perfectly.
This polish is currently available through Digital Nails ~ https://www.etsy.com/shop/DigitalNails

Pahlish ~ Bespoke Batch ~ The Good Dalek
Being a whovian I admittedly purchased this polish for the name, but kept it and wore it for the amazing unique colors! I can best describe it as having kind of an amber rose gold feel, but with a multitude of microglitters thrown in to make it incredibly unique.
This polish is not currently available and would probably be fairly hard to find. But check out Pahlish if you haven’t, I adore her polish! ~ http://www.pahlish.bigcartel.com

So there you have it, my top 5 favorite indie polishes! Next I will tackle my top 5 favorite mainstream polishes.
