DD Nail Lacquer

DD Nail Lacquer ~ Swatch and Review

I was recently chosen as one of the bloggers to swatch DD Nail Lacquers initial release. I was so excited, I love swatching for new indies! April of DD Nail Lacquer has put a lot of thought into all aspects of her initial release; everything from the polish to packaging to communicating with bloggers. She is organized, passionate, and ready to make a place for herself in the world of indie polish.

So let’s get right to the polish!

The polish I was sent to swatch are Bleedin’ heart of Gold, Sunflower Power, Festival Nights, and Ruby Slippers.

Bleedin’ Heart of Gold
Bleedin’ Heart of Gold is a soft baby pink, a pretty subtle shade, but has lots of gold micro flakes and aqua micro glitter to give it just a little pop. This is perfect for those days when you want a subtle yet beautiful shade. My swatches below are 3 coats with OTD top coat.

Sunflower Power
Sunflower Power is a deep gold yellow. It’s definitely not your standard yellow polish, it has a very natural earthy feel to it. I already have nail art ideas in mind! The swatches below are 2 coats with OTD top coat.

Festival Nights
Festival Nights is a gorgeous teal colored duochrome with shifts of aqua and purple. Like its name suggests, this is perfect for summer night festivals, concerts, or parties. The swatches below are 1 coat over black with OTD top coat.

Ruby Slippers
Ruby Slippers is a highly pigmented luscious red with blue micro glitter and micro fine holo dust. The swatches below are 2 coats with OTD top coat.

The formula on each of these was super smooth and creamy like butter! So easy to work with and completely self leveling. It would be very hard to choose a favorite; but I would have to go with Ruby Slippers and Sunflower Power. While Sunflower Power isn’t a color I would wear on its own, it’s very unique in my collection and I see so many nail art possibilities.

DD Nail Lacquer opens June 1st, and these polishes included many others will be available in her initial release on her etsy store: www.etsy.com/shop/DDnaillacquer

In the meantime I suggest following DD Nail Lacquer on social media for more information regarding her initial release.
