Lacquer Queen Polish ~ Review

Oh It’s hump day! Just a few more days till the weekend, and just a few more days till Spring!! Yay! 🙂

So today I have something a little different for you. I have reviewed a number of beautiful polishes from Lacquer Queen Polish, but today I have some products from her nail and skin care line. All of these are hand made from pure, unrefined, and organic ingredients.

Sugar Scrub:  raw unrefined coconut oil, unrefined raw sugar, and essential oils.

You will notice in my macro shots that this is not a fine sugar grain, so just think EXFOLIATE! I’ve used this on my hands, feet, and on my legs after shaving. It’s wonderfully exfoliating and sooo moisturizing. And with strictly high quality ingredients you can rest assured there are no chemicals, toxins, or additives. And even has natural antibacterial properties, all thanks to the coconut oil. If you haven’t ever really researched coconut oil, I highly suggest googling it.. it is so good for us and has dozens of fantastic, beneficial used.

Hand and Cuticle Cream: unrefinded cocoa butter, unrefined coconut oil, unrefined jojoba oil, essential oils.
Oh where do I even start? Well, I will just tell you straight out that I LOVE this one!! It’s no secret that it’s my favorite. Within minutes of opening Tammy’s package I noticed the ingredients in this and had to try it immediately! Cocoa butter, coconut oil, and jojoba oil.. Seriously you couldn’t find a better combination to really pamper your hands and nails. I have been using this atleast once everyday and usually 2-3 times. Part of my hand and nail care routine is a coconut oil soak, followed by a jojoba based cuticle oil. I just put a dab on my finger and rub my hands together, massaging it into my cuticles and nails. And don’t worry about an oily residue as it soaks in within just a few minutes leaving your hands soft and your nails and cuticles healthier. And since both of these contain coconut oil they have natural antibacterial properties.

Cuticle oil: Jojoba oil, Avocado oil, Grapeseed oil, Almond oil

Did you notice the first ingredient in this cuticle oil? Anytime someone asks about my nail care routine I emphasize a jojoba based cuticle oil, meaning that jojoba oil should always be the first ingredient. Jojoba oil (pronounced hu-ho-ba) is one of the only oils which molecules are small enough to penetrate the nail beds, which obviously is incredibly important in maintaining nail health. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to use a high quality cuticle oil like this 3-5x a day. You will notice a big difference in the health and durability of your nails. Again, it’s important to have jojoba oil as the first ingredient. I have a large bottle of cuticle oil I purchased from an indie brand about 6 months ago; it has no ingredients listed and I highly suspect it’s mostly cooking oil! Sadly not all cuticle oils are created equally. I have come to know without a doubt that Tammy puts time and effort into creating quality products, and only sells those products that personally pass her test. If she wouldn’t use it herself, she won’t sell it.

I love an indie brand with that level of high integrity!

So, sorry I went on and on today… but I hope you have found this to be informative and/or helpful. Oh, and before I forget Tammy has a gift just for my readers…
