Big T Ranch

Big T Ranch ~ Swatch and Review

Good morning my polish friends! We are nearing the end of the week, do you have any weekend plans? I think I will be organizing helmer #4 with the 500 or so bottles of polish that have been homeless the last couple months. I really dread organizing polish though, I really do. Is it just me? I feel like there is more polish than there is space. And I always seem to have more polish than I have brain power! It’s the life of a polish addict though. 🙂

Anyway, on to the polish!

Today I have 5 more polishes to show you from Big T Ranch Soap & Candles (and Polish!) This is my 3rd or 4th time swatching for Robyn, and I can honestly say the polish, which is always great, is getting better each time and I truly enjoy seeing what she comes up with as it’s always unique!

The 5 polishes I have to show you are Surf’s Up, Razzleberry, Cinnamon, Stardust, and Fool’s Gold.

Surf’s Up
Surf’s Up is a duochrome polish that originally looked orange/gold in the bottle. But 2 coats over black and this polish completely transformed. I barely had any sun today but that’s okay because I’m still quite pleased with how the color shifts show up in my swatches. This polish is absolutely gorgeous!! I don’t even wear a lot of duochrome a, but Oh My Gawd I love this polish. Let’s take a look!

Did I mention I love this polish?

BTW, picture heavy post!
Okay I have to move on, but did I mention how gorgeous this polish is? Okay, I have 4 more polishes to show you, then I can obsess some more over Surf’s Up. 🙂

Razzleberry
Razzleberry is a jelly thermal polish, a bright blue when cold and a Aqua/raspberry blue when warm. The interesting thing I found with this was the transition wasn’t gradual or a gradient effect as you normally see; but rather a distinct change more like a French mani look. Could be my hands, could be the weather, not sure. I think it’s pretty either way and I love both colors which is always a plus in thermals. This is 3 coats with OTD top coat.

Cinnamon
Cinnamon is a deep brown loaded with various micro fine color glitters. I quite like this color, and I did some nail art with it too. (Watch my IG) Swatch is 2 coats with OTD top coat.

Stardust
Stardust is another jelly thermal, this one differs in that the warm color is more of a sky blue and it has multi colored stars and circle glitters. This is 3 coats with OTD top coat.

Fool’s Gold
Fool’s Gold is a glitter topper with small gold colored hex glitters, larger copper brass hex glitters, and copper brass bar glitters. I used this to do a glitter gradient with Cinammon. I think the two look great together. I brushed this on with very little on the brush using a stippling effect. I repeated this in layers until I was happy with the look.

So what do you think of these? Do you have a favorite? I do! Surf’s Up! My second favorite would be Razzleberry.
I had no real formula problems, but 2 things to consider: 1) Cinnamon seemed to dry a little slower than I am accustomed to. I actually had to redo my swatch 3 times as I kept getting dings when I thought it would be dry. And 2) Fool’s Gold was a little thick which is to be expected in a glitter bomb, but if you are looking for 1-2 coats over your base you may need to dab some on to maintain consistent coverage.

So there you have it! Until next time, stay polished!
