HPB Presents: Halloween Dotticure Nail Art

Can you believe it’s already time for another Hobby Polish Bloggers link up? This month the theme is, not surprisingly, Halloween. There have already been lots of Halloween manicures floating around this month, but I knew immediately what I  wanted to do.

But first I have a little bit of a confession to make.. I’m not real crazy about a lot of Halloween Nail Art. The sliced up nails, the blood, brains, eyeballs.. It’s all a little much for me. While I absolutely appreciate the skill and techniques, the end result isn’t my style. So a couple weeks ago when I saw the adorably cute Halloween Dotticure done by JenInTheMorning, I knew I wanted to do something similar. It is exactly my style, and I’m so pleased with how my mani turned out! Thanks so much to Jen for the inspiration!

I started out with 2 coats of Chick Polish Punk Chick, and 1 coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black for my accent nail. For the green and purple dots I used Essie Polish Vibrant Vibes and China Glaze Violet Vibes, those names were a total happy accident. 🙂

On my accent nail I stamped the pumpkins from Bundle Monster plate #BM-H06 using MdU Orange.

I wore it for a bit with the glossy top coat…

And then I tried it matte…

Do you have a preference? I like it both ways, and never could decide if one was “better” than the other. Anyway, I hope you like this mani! Be sure to click through to see lots of other Halloween mani ideas from some of my other fellow bloggers, there are sure to be all kinds!

Until next time, stay polished!
