Good Morning all! I have another Essie collection to show you today, this is the Virgin Snow Winter collection. I never thought I would be one to become a true fan of Essie, but it’s happened so I may as well enjoy it! Okay, let’s get to the pictures!
Essie Shall we Chalet?
Shall we Chalet? is a deep red creme, could be worn in one coat but I used 2 for full color density. OTD top coat.
Essie Peak Show
Peak Show is a soft pale pink creme. The formula was very smooth and easy to work with. My swatches are 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Essie Virgin Snow
Virgin Snow is a soft lilac creme, this color is so nice for winter. Nice smooth formula. My swatches are 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Essie Altitude Attitude
Altitude Attitude is a pink leaning red creme. This is one of my favorites from this collection. I don’t wear a lot of red but I can really see myself wearing this frequently. My swatches are 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Essie Haute Tub
Haute Tub is a black creme with fine metallic purple glitter. For me this one was the disappointment. In the bottle this looks like it could be a spectacular polish, but all that translates to the nail is meh. The base is so dark that the glitter really gets lost. I had to take a macro shot just to remind me that it really was there.
Apres-Chic is a metallic silver. I was surprised how smooth this went on, and only shows minimal brush strokes considering the finish. 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Overall I really like this collection, it really feels like a new collection rather than one of those that just feels like recycled colors. The formulas were all nice, aside from that little bit of staining on Shall we Chalet? I had no problems.
Essie Nail Polish can be found in Sally’s, Ulta, salons, and select department and drug stores. Will you be picking up any from this collection or do you have a favorite?
Until next time, stay polished!
