Today I have the Turtle Tootsie Polishes holiday collection to show you, A Hatchling’s First Christmas. How cute is that name?! Previous to swatching this collection I had only tried Turtle Tootsie polish once before, so I kind of knew what to expect, but these still really impressed me! Let’s take a look…
Green Bracelets
Green Bracelets is a teal green microglitter topper which can be layered for full coverage. Shown here is 3 coats with OTD top coat. Sponging this one on would give a denser glitter coverage, but I wanted to show how well they do with just brushing them on normally.
Son of a Nutcracker
Son of a Nutcracker is a metallic silver polish. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Ho Ho Holo
Ho Ho Holo is a dark red holographic polish. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Gold Bracelets
Gold Bracelets is a holographic gold glitter topper which can be layered for full coverage. Shown here is 3 coats with OTD top coat. Again, this could be sponged on or brushed on. My swatches show it brushed on.
Santa? I KNOW him!
Santa! I KNOW him! is a cherry red linear holographic polish. Shown here is 3 coats with OTD top coat. I absolutely love this red!
Tree Trimming
Tree Trimming is a light green polish with gold holo glitter throughout. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat. This dries to a slight texture, you might want 2 coats of top coat for a perfectly smooth finish.
Christmasgram
Christmasgram is a holographic maroon polish with gold holo glitter throughout. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat. This dries to a slight texture finish, you might want 2 coats of top coat for a perfectly smooth finish.
Holo-Day Pine
Holo-Day Pine is a muted green, leaning teal, holographic polish. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Sugar Cookie
Sugar Cookie is a golden yellow jelly like base with gold holo glitter. Shown here is 2 coats with OTD top coat.
My Thoughts: I honestly loved everything about this collection. The formula on each was great, very smooth for ease of application. Dry time was above average and most of these reach full opacity in just 2 coats. While at first it feels like a very classic holiday collection, there are just enough outside-the-box shades to give it that extra edge.
The ‘A Hatchling’s First Christmas’ collection will release December 4th at 12 noon EST. The 6ml mini’s will be $6 each, and the 12ml full size bottles will be $10 each. For a limited time the complete collection will be sold for $50 for the mini size and $80 for the full size.
