Essie · Nail Polish Swatches

Essie Resort Collection 2016

I hate winter. Who‘s with me? Last week winter finally caught up to me and did it‘s number on my nails, resulting in 3 breaks on my swatching hand. Ugh. Just Ugh. I had no choice but to file down half my length, I could cry. I really could. This length is just not for me. Okay, enough of my pitty party let’s take a look at the Essie Resort collection!

Essie is Delhi-ted for resort season with this India inspired collection. Let’s take a look…

Essie Going Guru
Going Guru is a beautiful pastel spring green creme. This formula can be tricky if you aren’t moving slowly and precisely. I found as soon as I got a bit nonchalant that it got streaky. But slow and precise wins the game for this one. This is 2 coats with OTD top coat.

Essie Nama-Stay the Night
Nama-Stay the Night is a gorgeous medium teal blue with a phenomenal formula. This is one coat, yes ONE coat! Topped with OTD top coat. You need this polish.

Essie Delhi Dance
Delhi Dance is a medium pink creme, reminds me of a strawberry milkshake! Mmmm. This is 2 smooth easy coats with OTD top coat.

Essie Taj-Ma-Haul
Taj-Ma-Haul is easily the most unique color this collection offers. This is a dusty deepened orange creme. My swatch shoes two easy coats with top coat. If you love orange polish or unique polish you will love this; if you like more traditional colors then this one might not do anything for you.

So what do you think of the 2016 Resort Collection? While the majority of colors are not unique they are quite beautiful with nice formulas to match. I purchased this mini collection on Ebay for around $12, which I think is quite a good deal if you really just want minis.

Until next time, stay polished.
