Joy Lacquer Sisterly Love Collection

Hi friends! Who’s in the mood for some incredible fall cremes? I’ve spent the last few days learning how to work with nail powders, over regular polish. I’ve heard it gets easier, which it already is, but the process can be frustrating until you get the hang of it. So I was happy to put those aside for a bit to swatch these amazing cremes. There isn’t much better than a great set of cremes. I love indie cremes, and Joy Lacquers cremes are no exception! Believe it or not there was a time I didn’t buy indie cremes.. but I was fairly new to the indie scene at the time and still very naive about just how great indie cremes can be. You definitely don’t want to make my mistakes. Let’s take a look at these beauties!

Joy Lacquer Sisterly Love Collection

Joy Lacquer Maggie
Joy Lacquer Maggie
Maggie, a rich mulberry purple, the color of wine enjoyed with holiday dinners.

Maggie is described as a merlot purple creme. This is such a gorgeous shade! There was a small amount of unmixed pigment in my bottle, but the maker is aware and has already remedied the issue. This applied flawlessly in 2 coats. Dries to a semi-matte finish. Sealed with glossy top coat.

Melissa, a luscious pumpkin orange color, one often associated with a bountiful autumn harvest.

Melissa is described as a bright medium orange creme. Flawless formula. Reaches opacity in just 2 coats and dries down to a semi-matte finish. Sealed with glossy top coat.

Joy Lacquer Mallory

Mallory, a lucky green inspired by the change in leaves’ color, from the new growth of spring to the deep hunter evergreens of winter.

Mallory is described as a forest green to spring green thermal. This one was a bit more sheer than the others but still reaches opacity in 3 coats. Dries to a matte finish. Sealed with glossy top coat.

Sarah is described as a light dove gray creme. Nice creamy formula that dries to a glossy finish. My swatches show 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Joy Lacquer Anna
Joy Lacquer Anna
Anna, a deep magenta punch color reminiscent of delicious holiday.

Anna is described as a rich dark raspberry creme. This was a little on the streaky side. I used 3 coats to even it out, might get away with 2 coats if you’re careful. Sealed with glossy top coat.

Joy, an ultramarine reminiscent of the clear blue sky color seen on a crisp winter day.

Joy is described as a vibrant ultramarine blue creme. This is very similar to a cobalt blue, but has a deeper darker hue to it than cobalt. Truly an incredible color! Applies flawlessly in just 2 coats and dries to a semi-matte finish. Sealed with glossy top coat.

Ren, in nature a wren is a lovely little brown songbird, while this color is warmly reminiscent of your winter mug filled to brim with rich hot chocolate.

Ren is described as a medium creamy brown. This is your classic milk chocolatey creme. Applies flawlessly and dries to a glossy finish. Opaque in one coat. My swatches show 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Joy Lacquer One Little Unicorn
Joy Lacquer One Little Unicorn

As the only sparkle in a set of creme finishes, this unique topper is as glittery and precious as a baby unicorn.

One Little Unicorn is described as a pink-purple-blue shimmer in a clear base packed with opal flakes and holo sparks. Applies easily and dries quickly to a glossy finish. My swatches show one coat over Anna.

And for some quicky nail art. I love stamping over thermals, so I couldn’t resist a little more negative space with Lina Totally Negative 01. For the stamping polish I used Painted Polish Stamped in Olive.
