But for now it’s time to look at this months Square Hue box, the Irish Stepdance.
Reel is best described as a deep oxblood creme. This is the perfect vampy fall creme! Flawless formula, covered easily in 2 coats.
Hompipe is best described as a classic teal green. Watch for a little bit of cuticle staining with this one, and possibly some nail staining if you where it a while. Nice formula, opaque in 2 easy coats.
Slipjig is best described as a vibrant orange creme. I can’t tell you how happy this shade makes me. It’s like instant smile! I want to wear it on my toes all summer long. Another flawless formula, 2 easy coats.
For my nail art this month I went with some color blocking. These shades are so complimentary that I wanted to show them all together. For this look I started with 2 coats of Hompipe on my index and little finger. One coat of white on my middle and ring finger. Once the white base was completely dry I used these stencils from Born Pretty Store for the color blocking. I then finished it off with a glossy top coat.
I wish it had turned out a little cleaner, but overall I’m fairly happy with it.
Square Hue is 7-free, cruelty free, and vegan. They offers 2 different subscription boxes, a 2 polish box and a 3 polish box starting from $16.00 a month. A portion of proceeds from each box subscription goes towards a specified cause which is human trafficking. Polish with a cause is always a win-win in my book.
