The Digit-al Dozen does Indie: Indie Coloring Page Inspired

It’s Day 3 of the April Digital Dozen! I am loving it and I love having more nail art to show you all. For April the theme is Indie, and I thought a fun way to approach it would be doubling up the indies. For each day I chose a different indie product and designed my mani around that product, all with indie polishes of course.

I have to be honest with you though, I did this mani before I decided to go with the ‘inspired by indie products’ angle but I really wanted to show it anyway. So I legit backdoored it and went searching for indie coloring pages. They do exist! Actually I shouldn’t be surprised, it seems as though there is an indie to just about anything. Although they are not all as fabulous as indie polish of course.

It’s funny my first version of this mani I left with glossy top coat and posed with a polish bottle like I normally do. Later that night I showed the pics to my husband to which he responded “That’s.. um.. cool.” then silence. I could tell he didn’t get the concept and I was a bit concerned others might have the same problem, so I decided to redo it just to finish it off with a matte top coat. Then hubby suggested to pose with crayons instead.. freaking brilliant! And of course many thanks to my dear niece and nephew for leaving them at my house, it was like the only time in 30+ years that I happened to have my crayons around! 😂

I really do like how this turned out, and I definitely agree that it needed the matte top coat and crayon poses! Check back tomorrow for more fun indie manis!
