The Digit-al Dozen does In My Garden: Bumblebees

Hi friends! Today is the last day of the Digit-al Dozen In My Garden theme. I had so many ideas for this prompt, but unfortunately I was only able to bring 2 to life, or more specifically to my nails. I don’t actually have a garden, despite a valiant effort. My backyard is/was quite shady so I dreamed of having a wonderful Hosta Garden. I scoured the internet for a nice wide variety of hostas and planted at least a dozen different varieties. I was so excited to see my creation grow and flourish! But sadly within a year all of my hostas died. Dead. Zilch. No More Hostas. I was literally so heartbroken I never touched another plant again.

So obviously I designed my manis around what I *wish* was in my non-existent garden. Bees are something I wish was in every garden. The recent news of another species of Honey Bee being added to the endangered list was very sobering for me. I don’t even know the last time I saw a Honey Bee, part of that is no doubt related to the fact that I hate being outdoors! LOL

I absolutely love how this mani turned out and wore it for quite a few days, versus 15 minutes just long enough to take some photos! Life of a Nail Blogger

Naturally I am a big animal advocate and I also am very conscious about our planet and sustainability. The population decline of Honey Bees is a big threat to that so this manicure served as my Save the Honey Bees message.

Hope you all enjoyed this mani. Be sure to check out the link up below to see what the other ladies did for today’s mani.
