Paint Shop Polish ~ Winter 2014

PRESS SAMPLE

Today I’m excited to be able to show you this new to me brand, Paint Shop Polish. I was sent 4 different polishes, 3 are part of her Winter 2014 collection and 1 is a Limited Edition Glitter topper.

Winter 2014 (partial)

Winter Skies
Winter skies is a medium grey creme packed with gold shimmer. I don’t wear grey polish very much, but I’m convinced that gold shimmer can make any polish a little prettier. That was definitely the case here. The combination makes Winter Skies truly classy and beautiful. I was actually a little sad that I swatched this one first as I did not want to take it off. I could easily see this becoming my go to shade for winter.
The swatches below are 3 thin coats, with OTD top coat.

This macro shot really shows how much gold shimmer there is, which really makes this polish both classy and beautiful.

Bow on Top
Bow on top is a fairly sheer gold scattered holographic polish. The beauty with this one I think is that its just sheer enough to be able to use it as a topper, or can layer to full opacity with 3 good coats. I chose to layer it with 2 coats over a solid base. The formula on this was smooth and went on very easy. I see a lot of versatility in this one.
The swatches below show 2 coats layered over a flat gold base with OTD top coat.

And again this macro shot really shows the holographic sparkle.

Candy Cane Lane
Candy Cane lane is a fun and festive glitter topper. It has large candy cane glitter, as well as various other red and white glitters. I layered this over a shimmery white base. I did have to fish for the candy cane glitters, but that is to be expected with large glitters. This is a fun easy way to create some nail art looks without a lot of time and effort.
The swatches below are 2 coats over a white shimmery base, finished off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.

Wildcat – Limited Edition
I, along with many others, are currently obsessed with these leopard spot glitter polishes so I was very excited to get to try this one. Wildcat has black, brown, and gold leopard spot and hex glitters. It’s a great combination and I felt like a base of Zoya Jacqueline was perfect to really show off this great color combination. Again, some fishing was required to place the leopard spot glitters, but it is oh so worth it!
