MDJ Creations ~ Swatch and Review

Good morning ladies!
Today I have a brand to show you that I am very passionate about! MDJ Creations was within the first 5 indie brands I ever purchased, that was probably close to a hundred brands ago, and I still add 1 or 2 new MDJ’s to my stash every month. I was once asked which brands I felt were underrated in the indie world. My first answer was MDJ Creations. Melissa offers a superb formula, truly unique polishes, beautiful colors and finishes, and a wide variety of polish. You can be sure she has something for everyone, even beautiful handmade jewelry! Please when you have a moment visit her Etsy shop here.

Okay so let’s get onto the polish!

The three polishes I received are Summoning Unicorns, Just Having Fun, and Chillaxin’. All are currently available.

Summoning Unicorns
Summoning Unicorns is a glitter topper with a collection of pastel pink, purple, white & silver holographic stars & glitter mix, in a clear base. I layered this over a thermal pink polish so you could see it over 2 different shades. This is one generous layer with 2 coats of OTD top coat.
Note: This did not require any fishing for glitters, beautiful even coverage with just a few swipes of the brush.

Just Having Fun
Just Having Fun is a fun versatile glitter polish featuring teal, violet & silver holo dots, holo hexes & slices, and a green micro glitter in a shimmer base. This can be worn as a glitter topper with 1 coat or a full coverage polish in 2-3 coats. Here I have layered one generous coat over a triple gradient (white to mint to blue). I followed this up with 2 coats of OTD top coat. With so many colors and types of glitter this polish could give you unlimited possibilities of different looks.

Chillaxin’ features teal, violet & silver holo dots, holo hexes & slices, and a green micro glitter in a shimmer mint crelly base. This polish is fully opaque in 2 coats. My swatches are 2 coats with OTD top coat.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Do you have a favorite of these 3? I would have to say that Just Having Fun is my favorite, with Summoning Unicorns as a close second.

A few of her other items which I think are certainly noteworthy; 5 Piece Tinted Holo top coat, Multi Chromatic flakie crellies (Utopia, Fairy’s Den, Enchanted Air), and the new Living Water Collection (neon matte glitter toppers).

Whew! Okay, sorry I’ve been long winded today.. you can certainly see I’m passionate about this brand. So hop on over to Melissa’s Etsy store and treat yourself to some new beauties!

Until next time, stay polished!
