Do you ever buy a nail polish just for the name? I’m an emotional shopper, so I do this quite often. And I almost always like the polish regardless, as I’m so attached to the name. This happened to me recently – Great Lakes Lacquer Animal Advocate – the second I saw it on Instagram I clicked through and bought the polish. If you don’t know I am a huge animal advocate. Before Fibromyalgia I volunteered in animal rescue and have fostered many dozens of dogs over the years. I’m sappy in that I believe every animal deserves a chance at life. Okay, anyway…. Onto the polish!
With the purchase of my first Great Lakes Lacquer, Mariah was so kind to send me an extra polish, Krazzzzie Fast Fingered Gamer Girl, to show all of you.
The Animal Advocate
The Animal Advocate is a burgundy plum wine linear holo with gold shimmer and fuschia multichrome flakes. Oh my gawd where do I even start? This polish immediately jumped up to one of my favorites, it is simply stunning! The formula was so smooth and applied like a dream. My swatches below show 2 coats with OTD top coat.
Krazzzzie Fast Fingered Gamer Girl
Krazzzzie Fast Fingered Gamer Girl is a krazzie vivid turquoise that leans a bit green in the sun and more blue with indirect light. Add three types of purple shimmer and you’ve got a krazzie beautiful polish.
You may have heard a lot of hype about Great Lakes Lacquer, well I’m happy to report these two polishes lived up to all the hype! The formula was like butter on bread perfection. I will definitely be adding more Great Lakes Lacquer to my collection!
