Hello friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. I sure did, lot’s of extra time to sleep and rest! No picnics, no swimming, no trips to the lakes… just rest and relaxation. It’s a little frustrating sometimes that I can’t go and enjoy those summer activities, as it would leave me in intense pain and recovering for 3-5 days. But I also love relaxation time with my husband and fur kids! Afterall, any time with family is good time.
So let’s get into today’s post… This is My World Sparkles Lacquers Shakespeare Collection.
A Winter’s Tale
A Winter’s Tale is a frosty sheer white jelly filled with various blue and black glitters as well as a few translucent star glitters as well. This was the most sheer in this collection. My swatches show 3 thin coats with glossy top coat. This would be absolutely gorgeous layered over your favorite shades.
Merchant of Venice
Merchant of Venice is a medium pink jelly base filled with various sizes and shapes of blue, pink, teal, and purple glitters. I was surprised how much I loved this one! A true girly-girl polish. 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
All That Glistens
All That Glistens is a black jelly polish filled with translucent flakies that shine pink, purple, blue, and gold when the light hits it. My swatches show 3 thin coats with glossy top coat. Check out the macro shot to really see those shining flakies.
Mid-Summer Night’s Dream
Mid-Summer Night’s Dream is a shimmery lavender crelly with various purple, pink, and gold glitters along with some flower glitter and moon glitter. I did no fishing for glitters, and got plenty of the larger ones out as well. This is 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Such Sweet Sorrow
Such Sweet Sorrow is a medium blue crelly with light blue and dark blue iridescent microflakies and glitter. This is such a pretty polish! That perfect medium cornflower-ish color is so perfect, and with the iridescent microflakes you can catch flashes of pink, purple, and occasionally a taupe/gold shade as well. My swatches show 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Love is Blind
Love is Blind is a red shimmery crelly with bright and dark red hexes and red bar glitter. Yes, you read that right.. Bar Glitter. Bar glitter is often disliked in the nail polish community, but it really works in this polish. In fact I just downright liked it here! My swatches show 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
My Thoughts: I have been swatching for Elizabeth for quite a few months now, and each time her polishes impress me more than the previous time. They just keep getting better! I have no formula issues to report, they were each smooth and easy to work with. They are a bit sheer, in order to let the various flakes and glitters to stand out, so just plan to use 3 thin coats for these. Or you can always layer over your favorite shades!
