Are you all ready for Christmas? It’s coming up quickly! I took the easy route this year and bought a lot of gift cards, except for my niece and nephew who are still at that age where they really want something to physically open. But I got them each a gift card also so they could shop for themselves. I never thought I would be one of those gift card shoppers, but it’s official I have become my grandmother. 😂
So before I get into a huge rant about being old let’s take a look at this super sparkly glittery collection by Sassy Pants Polish, Twas the Night Before Christmas. You remember the story!
Sassy Pants Polish To All a Good Night
To All a Good Night is described as a dark midnight blue holo polish with navy holo hex and silver holo flakes.
This one is so pretty! I love all those various blue glitters and flakes and holo. My swatches show 2 easy coats with glossy top coat.
Long Winter’s Nap is described as an icy gray/blue scattered holo polish with silver and blue hex glitters and microglitters with silver holo flakes and opal flakes.
This polish is so perfectly winter that it makes me feel cold even looking at it. And those little blue hex glitters just glow. I’m wearing 3 coats with glossy top coat.
Lustre of Mid-Day is described as a golden yellow scattered holo polish with gold glitters and flakies.
Okay, VNL ladies this one is quite sheer. I’m wearing 3 coats here and I don’t think additional coats is going to give much more opacity. So if the VNL bothers you it might be best for nail art or layering.
Oh, and a quick comparison to Going Bananas from the Funny Fruit summer collection.
Visions of Sugar Plums is described as a plum scattered holo polish with purple, pink holo, and garnet hex glitters and silver holo micro shreds.
If this looks a bit familiar thats because it is similar to Plum Crazy from the Funny Fruits Summer collection. The base in this is a bit darker and the glitters seem smaller. I really think I prefer this one, but I did a quick comparison for you.
The formula was quite thick, some thinner would have helped it out a lot. But Angie is tweaking the final batch, so yours won’t be thick! My swatches are 3 coats with glossy top coat.
Not Even a Mouse is described as a platinum grey scattered holo polish with lavender-silver micro flakies, silver holo flakes and lavender shimmer.
Oh I wish I could love grey polish on me. I love them, just not on me. This has a definite winter feel to it too. I’m wearing 2 coats with glossy top coat. Formula was slightly thick but not bad.
Jolly Old Elf is described as a silver holo polish with green metallic flakes and holo glitters.
This polish is so fun!! I absolutely adore it. I don’t even mind the VNL, but with slightly thicker coats it reaches near opacity (see Nose like a Cherry below.) Or it could be a great topper as a single coat over your favorite shade. I’m wearing 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.
Nose Like a Cherry is described as a silver holo polish with red metallic flakes and holo glitters.
As you can see this is quite opaque in 3 thicker coats. Another super fun polish. Love! I bet this would be beautiful as a single coat over black too!
New Fallen Snow is described as a white scattered holo polish with assorted white and opal glitters and shreds.
This was a bit on the thick side and the shreds didn’t always want to lay flat. Based on this feedback though Angie is tweaking the recipe for the finalized batch. This is 3 coats with glossy top coat.
