Hi lovelies! I am very excited to show you this collection today. There has been so much love for multichromes lately, so this collection is coming out at just the right time. Victoria with Blush Lacquers has done a little bit of everything; shimmers, glitters, cremes, holos, flakies, thermals and now multichromes. She has perfected her formula so that it stays very consistent across polish types, and this collection is no exception. Let’s jump right in and take a look!
Blush Lacquers The Golden Hour
The Golden Hour is described as a coppery-red to orange to golden yellow shifting polish with green to teal shifting iridescent micro glitters. At the very edges of this polish you’ll see some green, but it doesn’t seem to entirely shift to green. For my swatches I’m wearing 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Twilight Maiden is described as a dark purple-blue based polish with a strong magenta pink shimmer and blue to teal shifting iridescent micro glitters. You may see some green shifts at the edges with this one. For my swatches I’m wearing 3 coats, but 2 would really be enough. Sealed with glossy top coat.
Candelabra-cadabra is described as a bright green based polish with a strong bronze shimmer and green to teal shifting iridescent micro glitters. At certain angles this shifts into an entirely green polish. This is the multichrome sister to Nerida Singer, which was one of my Top 16 of 2016 polishes. I’m wearing 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Kiss the Frog is described as a deep blue based polish with a strong green shimmer and blue to purple shifting iridescent micro glitters. This one is also said to have ocassionally hints of a gold shift, although I wasn’t able to catch a glimpse of that. In my swatches I’m wearing 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Amethyst Amulet is described as a “gunmetal purple”. This polish is a very greyed out purple with an almost metallic feel to it. This is due in large part to the strong silver shimmer it has. It also has blue to teal shifting iridescent micro glitters. This polish has a slight green shift at certain angles and lighting. Under my lighting green was a pretty prominent color, but I’ve seen quite a few swatches where the purple was the primary. I’m wearing 3 coats with glossy top coat. With slightly thicker coats I suspect 2 would be plenty.
The Secret Door is described as a rich garnet red with a shifting bronze to copper shimmer and red to gold shifting iridescent micro glitters. This one was a bit harder to capture, but you can still see the bronze to copper shimmer. I’m wearing 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Lady of the Mask is described as a raspberry red based polish with a grape purple shift, a teal shimmer and blue to purple shifting iridescent micro glitters. At certain angles this shifts into an entirely raspberry red polish. No subtle shift here, Lady of the Mask shifts effortlessly between shades. My swatches show 2 coats with glossy top coat.
Note: Lady of the Mask is only available with purchase of the full collection.
My Thoughts: Blush Lacquers is a brand that has done everything right from the beginning. So it really comes as no surprise that her first collection of multichromes are so stellar. These all had the same fine tuned formula that Victoria is so well known for, not too thick and not too thin but just right. If really sheer chromes that almost have to go over black bother you then you are definitely going to appreciate these. The vast majority cover in just 2 easy coats, and even those of which I used 3 coats was mostly insurance against a rogue thin spot that cameras always pick up.
Each polish in the Midnight Masquerade collection will be $10.75 individually, or $64.50 for the entire 7 piece set (That’s $10.75 off and like getting Lady of the Mask FREE).
This Collection will release Friday, February 3rd at 7pm EST. Individual polishes will retail for $10.75, or $64.50 for the full collection. When you purchase the full collection you will receive Lady of the Mask for free. This polish will not be available for individual purchase.
