Hi Ladies! I have a very special polish to show you all today. Joy Lacquers has teamed up with Crystal’s Charity Lacquers to raise funds for the Hawaiian Humane Society. Mau Loa Ohana is a Limited Edition shade that will only be available for a very limited time.
Since April 2015 Crystal’s Charity Lacquers has been partnering with makers to create custom polishes for to give away in a raffle style draw. After getting a number of brands on board, Crystal launched her first campaign, a double giveaway benefiting the SPCA and the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research. That first campaign was more successful than anyone could have dreamed and in order to keep momentum going between giveaways limited edition collaboration sales were introduced. Joy Lacquer was brought back for a second sale benefitting the Hawaiian Humane Society.

Mau Loa Ohana is a bright pink to coral shifting polish with purple shimmer and subtle holographic sparkle. The formula was flawless and dried very quickly. My swatches show 2 coats with glossy top coats.
The Hawaiian Humane Society’s mission is a joyful one full of challenges and opportunities. Since 1942, this busy shelter in the heart of Moiliili has become a community hub for animal lovers featuring programs and services focused on strengthening the human-animal bond: rescuing the abused, engaging volunteers, fighting for better laws and caring for more than 20,000 animals a year.
Given this sales charity, and my love for all things dog, I thought it only appropriate to do some dog rescue nail art. I have been involved in animal rescue for many years so naturally this is a cause near and dear to my heart.
Mau Loa Ohana will be available for $12 per bottle, with a portion of every sale being donated to the charity. This sale will run from Friday, March 17th through Friday, March 31st.
