Hi all! I have lots of LynB Designs to show you today; her new collection for April, a charity duo, and the POTM. Lots of swatches so lets jump right in!
The terrible twosome duo was designed after Jenna’s two cats and proceeds will benefit the Huron Humane Society. Obviously I’m more of a dog person, but in reality I am an animal person and I advocate strongly for rescue and adoption. Any polish that helps the animals is a win in my book!
I had a bit of trouble getting this one to self level, at 3 coats it was still a bit patchy but top coat leveled it out nicely. A little VNL but not enough to bother me.
For these swatches I used 2 coats for opacity, sealed with glossy top coat. Self leveled nicely with no issues. I love the green shimmer!
LynB Designs Genesis
Genesis is described as a cool toned green crelly base with shifty shimmer that changes from blue to green.
Genesis is the POTM for April. This color is everything! It went on a little streaky but leveled out nicely by the 3rd coat. Sealed with glossy top coat.
The Land Before Time Collection is a remake from an older collection. I’ve been following LynB for every bit of my 3.5 years in the polish community and I have no memory of the original collection. So… either I’m old as dirt and my memory is failing or the original collection is from 4-5 years ago. I’m personally hoping for the latter.
LynB Designs Ducky
Ducky is described as a bright green crelly base with golden micro shimmer and green micro glitter.
Ducky is a bit more sheer than I like, but other than that this polish is everything for me! I adore it! I used 3 coats, no issues at all, with glossy top coat. I love this one enough to try 4 coats, or I’ll just wear it sheer. I love it that much.
All the microglitters do leave a bit of a texture, so I used 2 coats of top coat. My swatches show 2 coats, which will probably be plenty for most but I could have gone for a 3rd with my insanely visible free edge. If you don’t have an insanely visible free edge I envy you! 🙂
LynB Designs Petrie
Petrie is described as a white crelly base with golden glass flecks, black glitters in various shapes, and a hint of green micro glitter.
Such a unique little polish, with a super cute name! (I know nothing of the inspiration for this collection. Sorry.) It does have some of those dreaded bar glitters but there aren’t a lot and they just work in this one. 3 coats for opacity with glossy top coat. No issues, all the glitters layed flat and work well together.
From what I’ve been hearing this is one of the most popular in the original collection. So it’s back! Heavy glitter load so it can get a bit chunky but top coat smoothed it out nicely. I’m wearing 3 coats.
I always try to use glitter toppers over another polish from the same collection, but in hindsight I’m wishing I had used a white or black base instead. It doesn’t really pop over Cera. I like the combination, it works, but Im betting this glitter would really pop over a neutral base!
Whew! That’s everything. Which are your favorites? My personal faves are Genesis, Ducky, and Chartreux to you too. Remember the Terrible Twosome Duo supports the Huron Humane Society. Polish with a cause!
