Square Hue Dance Collection Waltz December 2017 Box

Have you all seen swatches from this months SquareHue box? Oh wow are you in for a treat. The theme for this month is the Dance Collection Waltz, but it is so perfect for the holidays too. I have swatches of each shade and some nail art to show you today so let’s jump right in!

SquareHue Dance Collection Waltz December 2017 Box

SquareHue Whisk
SquareHue Whisk
Whisk is best described as an icy silver blue with a metallic finish. This is completely opaque in a single coat. I did two coats just to help cover nail imperfections but one is all you really need. Sealed with glossy top coat. Fantastic for stamping.

SquareHue Canter
SquareHue Canter
Canter is best described as red christmas jelly that dries to a demi-matte finish. A nice easy smooth formula. Somewhat sheer jelly like formula but dries to a matte finish.  For my swatches I used 3 coats with a glossy top coat.

SquareHue Fleckerls
SquareHue Fleckerls
Fleckerls is best described as an iridescent flakie topper in a clear jelly base. I’m not typically a big fan of toppers but this one was just perfect for my nail art so it get’s a pass. This is one easy coat over SquareHue Canter. Sealed with glossy top coat.

Nail Art

Sometimes I struggle with nail art ideas to include all 3 shades but this month was easy-peasy! As soon as I swatched Whisk I knew it would be fantastic for stamping and the shade is absolutely made for snowflakes. So I pulled out Lina Stamping Plate Four Seasons Winter 02.

For this look I started with 3 coats of the classic red Canter,  followed by a single coat of Fleckerls flake topper. Using Lina Plate Four Seasons Winter 02 I stamped a black tree line on my middle finger. I then stamped a layering image of the tree line with SquareHue Whisk. I then stamped random snow flake images from the same plate using Whisk. As my final step I sealed everything with a layer of glossy top coat.

What do you think of this months colors? Do you like my snowflake mani? I wouldn’t typically use a red base fo a snowflake mani yet I absolutely love how it turned out! The flake topper is really a nice addition too.

Square Hue is 7-free, cruelty free, and vegan. They offers 2 different subscription boxes, a 2 polish box and a 3 polish box starting from $16.00 a month. A portion of proceeds from each box subscription goes towards a specified cause which is human trafficking. Polish with a cause is always a win-win in my book.
