Whew I have been nail art’ing it all day today. I’m tired and ready for a hot bath but I wanted to knock out this post first so it’s ready for the morning. I have lots of great stuff coming up for you all in February. I am really excited about the looks I’ve been creating. Does that sound bad? I had an awful nail fail the other day and felt so frustrated with myself for not getting it right. I was really mad at myself. Do you ever feel that way after a nail fail? But today I think I may have redeemed myself a little, at least in my eyes. Now I get to show you all LynB Designs February POTM, L’Amethyste.. and I bet you’re gonna love it as much as I do!

L’Amethyste is inspired by February’s birthstone, the amethyst. It is described as a purple jelly base with gold holo micro glitter and purple to pink to orange to gold shifty shimmer. To me the base color seems more cranberry than purple, but you decide. Photos are true to color. Anyway, I really love this polish! The color is gorgeous plus all that holo and shifty goodness. For me this would be considered a must have. I even wore it for a couple days. (That is like an eternity for a swatcher.)

L’Amethyste applied smoothly and easily. It is packed with glitter, but it’s evenly dispersed and it lays flat on the nail when applied. For my swatches I used 2 coats plus glossy top coat.

Nail Art
To me this was just begging for some gold stamping. I was imagining something random and brush strokey, so I chose this image from stamping plate FUN 5. It covered a bit more of the polish than I wanted, but I still love the effect, topped with matte top coat.
