Blush Lacquers 1929 Collection

Hi ladies! Do you all enjoy your weekend? I spent all day Friday and Saturday organizing and destashing my nail polish room. It has been a hot mess for the better part of last year so it feels so good to get something accomplished. I still have a very long way to go (My goal is to destash at least 1000 polishes this year.) so obviously I’m not done yet but even some progress feels fantastic, especially since chronic fatigue makes it virtually impossible to get big projects done. But I’m betting you didn’t come here for that, so let’s get to the good stuff. And it seriously is good stuff! Victoria has done it again, she never disappoints. Her heart and soul goes in to every collection she puts out and it always shines through. The 1929 Collection was inspired by the romanticism and fantasy of the roaring 20’s. Are you ready for this? Here we go!

Blush Lacquers 1929 Collection

Blush Lacquers Tea Tappin’ Flapper
Blush Lacquers Tea Tappin' Flapper

Tea Tappin’ Flapper is described as a deep olive base with brown tones, a golden green shimmer and holo flakes. This is the one that jumped out to me immediately. I have always loved ugly pretty colors and this one is incredible. It has the flawless Blush formula. It glides on easily and effortlessly. I used 3 coats for my swatches but that was just for the sake of the camera. 2 coats covers beautifully. The brush is my favorite brush ever, it’s a wide oval brush but it fits my small nails perfectly. This is 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.

Blush Lacquers Wildest Dreams
Blush Lacquers Wildest Dreams

Wildest Dreams is described as a muted lavender base with a subtle pink to bronze to gold shifting multichrome (green can be seen at extreme angles) and scattered holo. You’re gonna need a kleenex cause this baby will make you drool! It is literally like perfection. She looks so sweet and innocent in the bottle but she really comes out to play on the nails. A beautiful shade that is office appropriate but also makes your hands look glamorous. This is 2 flawless coats, I thought it would need 3 but it’s perfect in 2. Sealed with glossy top coat.

Blush Lacquers Lipstick Matchsticks

Lipstick Matchsticks is described as a bright, flashy red base with pink tones and a matching red shimmer. This color just screams roaring 20’s to me. If you love sexy bright shades this beauty is for you. I see just a bit of VNL on my middle finger I believe but it wasn’t visible to the naked eye. Flawless formula. Goes on smooth and dries very quickly. This is 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Blush Lacquers Splendid!
Blush Lacquers Splendid!

Splendid! is described as a soft camel colored base with a subtle gold to bronze shifting shimmer and holo flakes. I wasn’t sure what to think when holo flakes first started showing up but I freaking adore them now! Another flawless formula. Glides on completely effortlessly. These all apply so easily that they just stay exactly where you apply, so no flooded cuticles or running off the sides.. for those of you with an extreme C curve like I have. You are going to want to wear Blush forever. My swatches show 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Blush Lacquers Swingin’ at the Savoy
Blush Lacquers Swingin' at the Savoy

Swingin’ at the Savoy is described as a deep sapphire base with a subtle blue-purple (teal in extreme angles) shifting multichrome, a light touch of scattered holo and gold micro flakes. I didn’t get to an extreme enough angle to see the teal, but I love the sublte purple shift. The addition of the scattered holo is the icing on this blue cake. I’m wearing two easy coats with glossy top coat.

Blush Lacquers This Side of Paradise
Blush Lacquers This Side of Paradise

This Side of Paradise is described as a mint base with a soft copper to bronze to gold shifting shimmer, scattered holo and bronze micro flakes. This one probably could have used a third coat as I can still see a bit of VNL, but it’s so incredibly beautiful I don’t even mind. I’m still wearing this one right now and have no plans of taking it off anytime soon. Love. Love. Love. This is 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Until next time, stay polished!

  • Wow, this collection is top notch. I think they’re all beautiful. I also spent a lot of time organizing my melmers. I’d like to do a major destash as well because I’m almost out of room to house anymore polish, but the idea of it all just makes me exhausted.

  • Toe Tappin Flapper is right up my alley! Beautiful swatches!

  • Tea Tappin’ Flapper is just WOW 🙂
