Hi ladies. I know I haven’t been around much the last couple weeks. I have been struggling with some stuff and the recent death of a friend just kind of pushed me over the edge, so I needed a mental health week. In the last 2 years I have lost my father-in-law, my mother-in-law, my grandmother, my heart and soul dog, and 2 friends. And 2 other friends have had heart attacks just recently. With my health issues from Fibromyalgia it’s important that I don’t over exert myself, either physically or mentally.. and there is nothing about death or funerals that isn’t over exerting. So basically I try so hard to maintain my health (and support my husband with losing his parents) that I haven’t really mourned all of that loss. So I think I cried more last week than I have in years, it just all came bubbling up. I feel like now I am starting to heal though, I hope so. Well that was deep. On a lighter note I have been getting back to my swatching responsibilities and I have a new collection to share with you today. All you Harry Potter fans are going to love these, actually you’re likely going to love them either way. I’m not a HP fan but beautiful polish is beautiful polish. Let’s take a look…

Expecto Patronum is designed as a icy blue foil base with intense holo shimmer and holo micro shreds. I’m not usually big on icy blues but I love this one! Its so sparkly and shimmery I love everything about it. Perfect. This is 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.

Accio! is described as a black base with red to copper to gold shifting shimmer and orange to green shifting micro glitters. This one does dry to a semi texture from the glitters but a nice thick coat of top coat smoothes it out nicely. This is 2 coats with top coat.

Obliviate is described as a mauvey base with intense blue to purple to red to orange shifting shimmer and holo micro shreds. No formula issues to speak of. This is 2 easy coats with glossy top coat.

LynB Designs Colovaria
LynB Designs Colovaria

Colovaria is described as a purple to green thermal with green to blue to purple shifting shimmer, and blue to purple shifting flakies. Unfortunately I struggled with the formula on this one. Even after 3 coats I had a number of patchy spots. This is 3 coats with glossy top coat.

LynB Designs Riddikulus
LynB Designs Riddikulus

Riddikulus is described as a medium green leaning teal with gold to bronze to silver flakies, holo sparkle, and copper shimmer. This beauty kind of reminds me of the recent release from Rogue Lacquer, but this leans more green and has more of the gorgeous copper and gold flakes. Definitely my top pick, I even swatched it last cause I wanted to wear it! This is 2 easy coats with glossy top coat.

LynB Designs Sectumsempra
LynB Designs Sectumsempa

Sectumsempra is described as a deep red with pink to orange flakes, and red orange holo shimmer. Another stunning beauty for sure! The flakes absolutely glow. I was going to show this matte, but honestly I couldn’t bring myself to. It’s incredible just like it is. This is 3 coats with glossy top coat.
