Hello ladies! Are you ready for another fun Digital Dozen week? This month the theme is ‘Inspired by Each Other’ where we recreate other members manis. It was so hard to narrow it down to just 5 from so many amazing manis!

I have long admired Manis & Makeovers nail art, and this houndstooth design immediately grabbed my attention. I have never done a houndstooth mani before so it was a fun way to step outside my box.

Honestly I think she pulled it off much better than I did. I should have whited out the tips before doing the red, that probably would have helped.

  • Despite the slight issue with the tips, I think it looks great. I honestly didn’t even zero in on that until you mentioned the bit about using white on the tips. You always do such a great job with your manis.

    I bet IRL the houndstooth doesn’t show at all under the red. I just did something very similar–painted red over white lace, and it showed through, when I didn’t think it would. But, the effect turned out nice!
