Polish Pickup ~ Starlight Polish Dangerous Waters

It is officially September, and while it’s not officially Fall for another couple weeks it sure feels like Fall already. I hate seeing the end of summer, but I have to admit I’m a bit excited to pull my boots out again! I do love my boots. Give me all the boots. All the colors. Do you love wearing boots in the fall? You know what I don’t love? Horror movies. I’m a big ole’ wuss and don’t like anything thats scary or violent. Honestly it’s my moms fault – she used to sensor my nursery rhyme books. The mice never had their tales chopped off.. the story just ended with a thick black line of permanent marker. From 5 years old I learned that scary or violent is bad and I could not handle it. Here I am 30 something years later and I still believe it. Where am I going with this? The theme for PPU this month is Horror Movies. I was convinced every polish would be blood red! 😂 I was wrong. These ladies are sooooo incredibly creative. So without further ado let’s take a look at this beauty from Starlight.

Starlight Polish Dangerous Waters

From the Maker ~ “My dad used to take me to see movies in theaters during the summer, starting when I was just a kid (7 or so). We’d go during the middle of the day, and I loved those rare times when there was no one else in the theater so we could talk during the movie. Based on the year the movie came out, while we were watching, I would have been munching my way through a bag of either M&Ms or Twizzlers, with the biggest size Dr. Pepper they offered. My dad always got popcorn, and I would share some of my candy with him. I loved that part of summers. Even though I’ve never been a big “movies in theaters” person, I always loved going to see them with him, and I always had fun. We didn’t watch many horror movies (more action and comic book movies), and Deep Blue Sea is one of the horror movies we saw that I best remember watching, which is why Deep Blue Sea is my horror movie pick for this month!”

Starlight Polish Dangerous Waters

Dangerous Waters is described as a dark blue jelly base with teal to violet UP sibling pigment, and sparkling blue and translucent micro flakes. This had a really nice self leveling formula and I have no issues to report. For my swatches I used 2 thin coats with glossy top coat.

Oh Tiffany! I couldn’t help but giggle through your intro. It’s okat, I’m not a fan of the genre either. Fantastic swatches as always!

  • Aw! I love Horror Movies, usually but I love polish more! This one is stunning. Blue is my favorite color this year it seems.

  • Kristi Vasquez

So ready for cooler weather…when the summer is 110+ for 5 months, I welcome fall. 🙂 Gorgeous shade – I haven’t heard of this movie….I’m so freaked out by sharks though.

Sorry but deep blue sea isn’t even kind of horror. It’s a movie about water. But the polish is pretty
