Polish Pickup ~ Bohemian Polish Sink into the Floor

Hey all. My weekend has been no fun at all, and I’m so ready to get back into a normal routine. As you may know hubs and I adopted a fully blind American Eskimo last year. Within a few months we realized we had to get a ramp for him to get up and down off the couch. Due to time constraints the minute hubby finished making it we put it into use for him. He *loves* that ramp. Well we recently decided it was time to do some final touches so hubby packed it up to take it to a local workshop and work on it. Long story short it has taken far longer than it should have, and I have been stuck at home with no car and a pissed off blind dog for the last 3 days. Thankfully it is almost done and Halo and I will both be happier soon enough! Today I have another Polish Pickup contribution to show you, this time from Bohemian Polish. Let’s take a look…

Bohemian Polish Sink into the Floor

Sink into the Floor was inspired by the horror movie Get Out. Released in 2017, Get Out stars Daniel Kaluuya as Chris, a black man who uncovers a disturbing secret when he meets the family of his white girlfriend (Allison Williams.) While I was reading about this movie (I like to know at least something about the inspiratiom) I came to realize that while it is a horror movie it also deals with very real world issues, that are particularly important in the current age.

Sink into the Floor is described as a black jelly packed with an assortment of blue glitters, from metallic to holo to matte. It’s a squishy polish perfect for clawing your way out of the Sunken Place.

I love how these bright blue glitters just pop against the black base. The polish applied easily with a nice consistency, it self leveled and the glitters spread evenly without any bare spots. I used 3 thin coats for my swatches, but it is surprisingly opaque and those with shorter nails might get away with 2 coats. I applied one thick layer of top coat and it smoothed it out perfectly.
