Zaftig Lacquer Bawdy House Collection

Hey nail friends! I hope you all had a good weekend. My husband competed in a local robot fighting competition and we had a great time. He came in 2nd place, his competitive nature was a little bummed but I’m super proud. He has competed a few other times in various robot fighting, its fun as long you don’t get too upset about an expensive robot potentially getting destroyed. So we make repairs and onto the next! Today I have a new collection from Zaftig Lacquer to show you. If you’re not familiar with this new brand it is run by Jenna from LynB Designs’ mother. This is her third release since her launch in June, and in my opinion the best yet. Let’s take a look. Zaftig Lacquer Bawdy House Collection

Zaftig Lacquer Greek Street
Zaftig Lacquer Greek Street Greek Street is described as a Bright pink base with gold glass fleck and holo micro flakies. This is such a great pink. Formula was nice with no application problems. My swatches are 3 thin coats with glossy top coat. Zaftig Lacquer Greek Street Zaftig Lacquer Greek Street Zaftig Lacquer Greek Street Zaftig Lacquer Greek Street

Zaftig Lacquer Dame Death
Zaftig Lacquer Dame Death Dame Death is described as a white based multichrome that shifts from red to violet to blue with pink iridescent micro flakies. A bit on the streaky side, mostly smoothed out by third coat but I can still see a few thin areas. This is 3 coats with glossy top coat. Zaftig Lacquer Pineapple of London
Zaftig Lacquer Pineapple of London Pineapple of London is described as a silver linear holo with hint of bronze glass fleck shimmer. With all the bronze shimmer this takes on the look of a lovely sparkly neutral and I adore it! Nice easy formula opaque in 3 thin coats. Sealed with glossy top coat.

Zaftig Lacquer Common Bawd
Zaftig Lacquer Common Bawd

Common Bawd is described as a blue to pink thermal base with copper shimmer and green to cyan to blue to purple to pink UCC flakies. I am all about the flakies lately and this plays right into it! My swatches are 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.

And I can never resist doing nail art over thermals…

Whenever possible I like doing art incorporating all the colors, and these compliment each other so well. Starting with Common Bawd as the base color, I used this image from UberChic 3-03 for some reverse stamping. I colored in about 80% of the image using the remaining 3 shades allowing Common Bawd to shine through. In the first photo the thermal is transitioning so some of the hot and cold colors both show through. In the macro shot just the cold shade comes through. I really like it both ways!

I love that mother and daughter have nail companies. What a way to bond. These are all so pretty and your nail art is amazingly beautiful.

  • These are all so pretty but I think Pineapple of London might be my favorite. I love the base color of it and the specks just really look amazing in the up close shot!

  • I’m obsessed with that pattern! It reminds me of a book called Rainbow Fish about a little fish who had multi-colored scales.

  • Pineapple & the ombre Common Bawd are my faves. I love the mani that you did with the shades – it looks so perfect!
