Parrot Polish

One of the reasons so many people like to purchase indie polish, aside from the unique factor and amazing quality, is the personal service. Recently in the polish community the customer service of one brand has really stood out.. Parrot Polish. I personally hadn’t purchased anything from them, afterall how many brands of polish does one girl need? Oh nevermind, bad example! 🙂  Anyway I started to hear some amazing testimonials from others and it peaked my interest. Now this is where I could fill a page with amazing customer service stories, but I will just share one – my favorite one… Parrot Polish is a husband and wife team, Sonja and David, and naturally David has had to become very familiar with polish. One day a customer had a question about a red polish she was considering buying as a gift, concerned if it was too sheer. Within minutes she received a reply, which was simply a picture of David’s thumb painted in this red polish. If that’s not a huge customer service win then I don’t know what is! Every time I think of that I get a little chuckle.

So that’s enough about their customer service, you want to know about their nail polish!! I have 4 different ones to show you; Copper Twist, Arcobaleno, Chaka Kahn, and White Gold.

Copper Twist (purchased by me)

Copper Twist is a beautiful neutral scattered holo polish with flashes of coppery brown, depending on the lighting. It reminds me a little of OPI DS Classic, only brighter and prettier. This is easily my favorite polish currently. I love scattered holos and this color is just spot on.
My swatches below are 2 coats, no top coat.

Arcobaleno (purchased by me)

Arcobaleno (italian for rainbow) is a beautiful silver linear holographic polish with flashes of icey blue, purple, and even some green in certain lights. The holo factor on this one is just Wow! It’s definitely not one of those holos that you only see under direct sun, its shows its brilliant rainbows under any amount of light.

Chaka Kahn (press sample)

Chaka Kahn is a dark brown with shimmering blue glitter throughout. It’s very pretty, and I particularly liked it with a matte topcoat. The swatches below are 3 coats with OTD topcoat. Last swatch is 3 coats with 2 coats of NYC matte topcoat.

White Gold (press sample)

White gold is an irridescent shimmering topcoat that can be used over a color of your choice. I used it over some nail art using Zoya Raven and Zoya Tomoko. It gives a beautiful shimmering finish of.. well white gold. For lack of a better description. 🙂 The possibilities with this are endless. Swatches below are 1 coat over Zoya Raven (and some negative space).

1 coat swatched over Sally Hansen Pep-Plum

I hope you love these all as much as I do! I highly recommend getting a few bottles of Parrot Polish, obviously this is only a small example of their beautiful polish.
