B Polished The Happy Holodays Collection ~ Winter 2015

Good Morning friends! I’ve been slowing down on my blogging a little trying to get ready for the holidays, I do expect to ramp back up shortly after the new year though. But I have 2 great indie collections to show you before that, this is the first one – B Polished The Happy Holodays Collection! Yes, it is ‘holodays’ for a fun play on words. Let’s look at the swatches…

B Polished Silver Bells are Blinging
Silver Bells are Blinging is described as a variety of silver and holographic flakes in a holographic base. This is 2 easy coats with B Polished Prism Shield top coat.

B Polished December Baby
December Baby is described as a blue that shifts to a fuschia purple with a holographic finish. I love this color! This is 2 coats with B Polished Prism Shield top coat.

B Polished Boughs of Holo
Boughs of Holo is described as a vibrant metallic foil green with a holographic finish. I had a little trouble with unmixed pigment in this one, it’s likely a localized issue to a single batch. This is 2 coats with B Polished Prism Shield top coat.

B Polished Bling in the New Year
Bling in the New Year is described as variety of gold and holographic flakes in a holographic base. This is one of my favorites from the collection. It’s a soft gold, like champagne. This is 2 coats with B Polished Prism Shield top coat.

B Polished Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland is described as a multichromed white textured crelly with red and white glass flecks, along with holographic flakies.  My swatch is 3 coats plus B Polished Prism Shield top coat.

B Polished Red-y for the Holodays
Red-y for the Holodays is described as a vibrant metallic red with a holographic finish. This is a gorgeous very vibrant red! My swatch shows 2 coats plus B Polished Prism Shield top coat.

I had to show a picture of the bottles and packaging too. Each polish has a color swatch on the cap along with the B Polished logo. While B Polished is relatively new to the indie scene, at least in terms of making polish, her polish and packaging is that of a very established indie brand. The time and care spent packaging the polish is extraordinary, and if you love brands that put extra care into every single package before shipping then you will definitely want to place an order with B Polished!

My thoughts: I found this collection to be well thought out, and well executed all the way from the formula to the presentation. With the exception of the unmixed pigment on Boughs of Holo, I experienced no formula issues. Overall, I’d say this is a winning brand and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try it!

My personal favorites: Silver Bells are Blinging, Bling in the New Year, and December Baby.

Holiday Special: B Polished is also running special holiday pricing through the end of the month (yes, just a short time remaining!) For the month of December any polish from this collection will be $8 per bottle, marked down from the normal $10 per bottle. You can also buy the full collection for $50. You will receive a free bottle of Prism Shield top coat with purchase of the full collection. Prism Shield top coat is a quick dry top coat that will not dull holographic finishes, I used it in all of my swatches above. The top coat is available individually for only $5.
