China Glaze Lite Brites ~ Summer 2016 Collection

Good Morning my friends! Today I have the China Glaze Lite Brites Collection to show you, so let’s skip any small talk and jump right into the swatches!

We Got the Beet
We Got the Beet is a plum purple shimmer polish with gold flecks throughout. The formula was a tad bit thick, but still very workable. Shown here in 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Lime after Lime
Lime after Lime is a neon lime creme. The formula on this one was a bit thick too, but again very workable. Shown here in 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Hot Flash
Hot Flash is a bright red creme polish. This had the perfect consistency and covered in 2 easy smooth coats. Glossy top coat.

Lets Jam
Lets Jam is a bright lavendar creme with a strong blue shimmer. This is one beautiful polish! Formula was very nice and smooth. Shown here in 2 coats, but you could get away with a single coat. Glossy top coat.

Bite Me
Bite Me is a bright coral pink with a strong golden shimmer. The formula on this one was quite thick. Shown here in 2 coats, but you could easily get away with one coat. Glossy top coat.

Whip it Good
Whip it Good is a bright buttery yellow creme polish. Perfect consistency. Shown here in 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Papa Don’t Peach
Papa Don’t Peach is a neon orange coral loaded with gold microglitter. Another truly unique and beautiful polish! Shown here in 2 coats with glossy top coat.

I got a Blue Attitude
I got a Blue Attitude is a blue creme with violet undertones. This color was very hard to capture, but it leans slightly more violet in real life. Shown here in 2 coats, but fully covers in one. Glossy top coat.

What I like about Blue
What I like about Blue is a turquoise shimmer polish. I found the formula to be thick and goopy, difficult to work with and took quite a few minutes to even just surface dry. Shown here in 2 coats with glossy top coat.

I’ll Pink to That
I’ll Pink to That is a neon pink creme with a nice smooth formula. Another that could be a one coater. Shown here in 2 coats with glossy top coat.

None of your Risky Business
None of your Risky Business is a soft orange creme. I found this one to be streaky and needed 3 coats to even out. Glossy top coat.

Lip Smackin’ Good
Lip Smackin’ Good is a bubble gum pink with coral undertones. The formula is a little streaky but I was able to get full even coverage in 2 coats. Glossy top coat.

My Thoughts: I really love the colors in this collection, and I found a few to be quite unique. The formulas however were very hit or miss, while some were nearly flawless others were a real struggle to work with. Short of ‘What I Like About Blue’ I thought they were all worth any formula issues, but I doubt I will wear ‘What I like about Blue’ again. My personal favorites are We Got the Beet, Lime after Lime, Let’s Jam, Bite Me, Papa Don’t Peach, and Lip Smackin’ Good. Overall I really like this collection, even with the few with problematic formulas the color payoff is worth it in the long run, short of the one I mentioned.
