Savvy & Chic Lacquer Celebration Trio

So things have been fairly quiet around here the last week, here being my blog, because things have been anything but quiet in my life. Things have a way of piling up all at once, don’t they? With almost a full week of rain both myself and one of my dogs were down for the count for quite a few days. We were a pathetic pair for sure! Today I have something a little different for you. We don’t see a lot of matte polishes from indie brands, and not a lot of textured polishes either.. Savvy & Chic has both in this trio though! But no worries, if you’re not a fan of texture (I know you’re out there!) then 2 easy coats of top coat smooth them out beautifully to a glossy finish. Psst.. ya know what I love textured polishes for? Pedis. Hell ya. I rarely have “normal” polishes on my toesies! 🙂

Savvy & Chic Fantasy
Savvy & Chic Fantasy

Fantasy is best described as a dusty blue grey base with blue microglitter and holo microglitter. It looks like a sky blue in the bottle but pulled to more of a dusty blue grey on my nails. Dries down to a semi textured matte finish. Like most matte polishes it applies best with minimal brush strokes. My swatches show 3 thin coats. I used 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out to a glossy finish.

Like most matte polishes it applies best with minimal brush strokes. My swatches show 3 thin coats. I used 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out to a glossy finish.

Harmony is best described as a rich fern green base with green microglitter and holo microglitter. It’s almost an evergreen, but not quite that dark. Dries down to a semi textured matte finish. Like most matte polishes it applies best with minimal brush strokes. My swatches show 3 thin coats. I used 2 coats of top coat to smooth it out to a glossy finish.

The best way for me to describe these is they remind me of the original Zoya Pixie Dusts, although not quite as textured, but the matte sparkle is similar. They have that general vibe though. I really like them! They are unique but can also be worn pretty much any way you want.

The Savvy & Chic Celebration Trio releases this Thursday, August 16th. For a limited time you can get all 3 shades for $25, after August 31st they will be $10 each. Until August 24th you can get Free Shipping with code AUGTRIO.
